# Liquid investing early stage Crypto gaming is still in such an early stage. Imagine being in the beginnings of the commercial internet (90s), and finding Amazon in 1994 before it had gone public in 1997, then having the opportunity to invest, but getting impatient and leaving in 1996. This is what people are doing when they find epic projects / coins during the bear, only to fumble the ball during the bull. Mind you - the real gains from Amazon didn't come until significantly later. You could have waited until anywhere from 2007-2014 before you actually had to pull the trigger in any real size to catch the parabolic gains. The lesson, in my humble opinion, is that we spend every second of every day in this industry trying to create something awesome. But we're just so early (see the 2000 blip in the AMZN all time chart), and the market is so emotionally abusive to those who expect it to... 1) do what they want 2) especially on any sort of timeline 3) extra especially when you need it to happen because it's "your chance" to get wealthy ...it's hard to have perspective when things feel like they aren't going your way. I don't have the magic cure all, but I can show you some other examples from history: - Apple - Microsoft - Bitcoin Unfortunately, things usually just take a long time to materialize into their full potential. This is why Charlie Munger says "[[The silver bullet in investing|The big money is not in the buying and selling, but in the waiting]]." All that being said - because it is this difficult, most people will fail. Where most people fail, there is opportunity for greatness. Perhaps we're the chosen ones. Time will tell. Be patient, these ARE the gains we're looking for, they just may take longer than we'd like.
