# The northern lights There are a few times in life one gets to enjoy the brilliant Aurora Borealis, colloquially known as the Northern Lights. This morning, precisely between midnight and 4am, was one of those times for me. I'm visiting the North Cascades to see my best friend and business partner's new cabin. It just so happens I arrived on the opportune day to witness one of the most incredible natural phenomenon on the planet. It was breathtaking, and I'm so incredibly grateful to have been able to see them. Even more so with one so dear to me. Bucket list items should be hard to cross off. We had to hike through snow and steep mountains at midnight. It was an experience I'll never forget in my entire life. Reminds me of the stuff life is really about. I implore you to find the people who push you to do these sort of things in your life. Hold on to them and go on adventures with them. It will be one of the greatest things you ever do.
