# Winners make themselves known
One of the businesses I created and manage *(alongside my wonderful partners whom I wouldn't trade for anything)* focuses on introducing crypto projects to investors.
We work hard to make sure our network of capital allocators are engaged and excited for each new deal we bring to the table, and therefore we scour the industry for the absolute best projects.
The interesting thing is every batch of 3-5 there comes along one deal where absolutely everyone FOMOs in, and others they mostly ignore.
We have no clue which one will hit this hard, but they do.
There is also very little correlation I have seen between these projects which win the hearts of the investors and those projects which deliver the biggest returns.
Perhaps this phenomenon and lack of correlation is why only the ultra top tier venture capitalists (which everyone buying pre-TGE crypto tokens are trying to be) are at a 29.8% success rate.
Maybe everyone is following the crowd. Maybe it is that hard to pick winners. The data would suggest too few venture capitalists have any real history of business success.
But the whole situation certainly is interesting, and if you're a project raising capital you absolutely want to be one of the few who go viral within investor circles.
You also may want to consider working with previously successful founders as they could be better at picking partially because the advice they can offer is based on useful experience to you instead of MBA curriculum.
